The mathematics keynote speaker, Steve Lomax, opened by involving delegates in some lively maths challenges and problem solving with the help of Kenny the Kangaroo!!
The NCETM, working in conjunction with Maths Hubs, is seeking to recruit 140 expert primary school teachers to take part in an important new professional development programme to acquire the status of Primary Mathematics Teaching for Mastery Specialist, in order to lead the development of mastery teaching in primary schools within their Maths Hub area.

Please find attached an exciting offer for serving and returning secondary teachers who are moving into teaching mathematics, but do not have a previous mathematical qualification. It will enable staff to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of all aspects of mathematics.
This innovative Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) course will be delivered by NW Maths Hub 3 in partnership with experienced staff from within the St Helens alliance and across the LAs working to support the maths hub alongside extremely experienced staff from Liverpool Hope University.
