MArt2016 – The Maths Art Project

Do you want pupils in Year 5, 6, 7 and 8 to enjoy developing a deep understanding of mathematics?

As a University of Chester Partnership school you are invited to be part of MArt2016- The Maths Art Project. Details are here: MART Maths Art 2016

The aim of the project is to use art images to support pupil’s depth of understandings of concepts in number theory. The project develops reasoning and fluency, whilst giving pupils the opportunity to produce engaging images that stimulate connections in mathematics through the use of colour. Schools may wish to take this project further by using mathematics as a stimulus for art.

Resources and support are available free to all partnership schools. It would be good to see you at the MArt 2016 launch on 29th April.
