Differentiation in a Mastery Context

Course Outcomes:

  • To support teachers to differentiate effectively within a mastery mathematics curriculum
  • To identify the big mathematical ideas that underpin learning of key concepts
  • How equipment and images can be used to build conceptual understanding
  • To give children opportunities to work at greater depth within year group expectations

Training will take place on:

Differentiation Within a Mastery Curriculum: Upper KS2- Thursday 2nd November 2017, 9.00-3.30pm, Venue: TBC

Differentiation Within a Mastery Curriculum: Lower KS2- Tuesday 21st November 2017, 9.00-3.30pm, Venue: TBC

Differentiation Within a Mastery Curriculum: KS1- Tuesday30th January 2018, 9.00-12.00 noon, Venue: TBC

Secondary Maths CPD Network

As a result of fantastic feedback from the 2016-17 Secondary Maths CPD Network; NW3 Maths Hub is pleased to offer an academic year of Teaching and Learning CPD sessions for your whole department throughout 2017-18.

This year we have guest speakers that include: Steve Lomax, Mel Muldowney, Ems Lloyd, Andrew Jeffrey, Craig Barton, Will Emeny and many more…Please see the offer attached for exact foci of all sessions.

These sessions will take place at Rainford High Technology College, St Helens and St John Bosco, Knowsley between 4 and 6pm- see individual sessions for exact venues. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided on arrival.

Target audience: KS3-5 teachers, Secondary Maths HOD and educators from across the NW region.

The cost of the entire programme is: £250 per maths department. This includes: key note delivery including materials and refreshments for the whole of your maths department for the full package.
